This week at my house Sobe has been the beverage of choice! My girls have been through every flavor they make (but only the ones with the black caps) this week and in the last 4 days about 16 bottles have flown right out the refrigerator door! This morning, while my house was still sleeping, I decided to sneak out to my favorite CVS with no real plan in mind. I had a few coupons lined up to use but I figured this late in the week, all of the good stuff would be gone. I guess since my plan wasn’t big, I was wrong. Here is how my scenario worked out. (I started out with 10 Extra Care Bucks that were expiring this weekend so I had to use them!)
(2) Digiorno 12″ Pepperoni Pizza @ 2/$11.00 – (2) $4.00 off coupons left over from a World Cup House Party. (Had to use these too because they were expiring soon!) = $3.00 for both
(2) CVS Panty Liners @ 2/$1.00 *get $1.00 ECB with purchase = FREE
(1) John Frieda Frizz Ease Daily Nourishment Leave In Conditioning Spray @ $5.00 – $2.50 printable coupon = $2.50
(1) John Frieda Root Awakening Nourishing Moisture Conditioner @ $6.99 – $3.00 coupon from 6/6 SS = $3.99 plus $5.00 ECBs with purchase of 2 JF products.
(2) Wheat Thins Crackers @ .99 each – (2) $1.00 off printable coupons

A WHOPPING $2.47 that I put on a CVS gift card that was earned from a new or transferred prescription so that was FREE too basically…because the prescription that I had was only a few dollars!
Are you confused yet? Okay, to make a confusing story short and to the point, I spent out of pocket in ECBs & on my CVS gift card a total of $12.84 and earned back in ECBs $12.98 so there is where I get my .14 cent profit!! Oh, and as a bonus, I got a coupon on my CRT tape for a free big roll of CVS paper towels =) YAY, I LOVE CVS!!

This week CVS has a B1G1 Free on Stayfree Maxi Pads – the same week that the Sunday Insert (6/27 RP) just so happened to have a B1G1 free coupon as well. I pay $5.00 for the double paper so in that one trip, I picked up 4 Stayfree bonus packs for $3.79 each and with the 2 coupons, all 4 were free…over $14.00 worth of products for only the cost of the news paper plus I used the same coupon inserts & grabbed 4 packs of M&M’s and used the B1G1 coupons and did the same deal since they are also B1G1 free this week too! They are .89 each and the coupon is up to .79 cents so I did have to pay .40 but I also bought a 24pk of water for $1.89 so my total wasn’t bad at all.
I’d say with all of the coupons left, I will more than make a profit on that $5.00 out of pocket I spent on the newspaper so it was well worth buying the double paper!

I have to say the best thing I have found on the Internet at this point in my life is CVSing and just how to get the most out of the Extra Care Bucks program! I look forward to the weekends even more now because that is when I get to see what I can get for literally nothing at CVS! So far my spending for 2010 looks like this:
That breaks down to over $71.00 in merchandise for a profit of .40 currently!

Oh yeah, I stopped at Kroger & Sack ‘n Save and picked up my groceries for the week for 87.00! Not too bad for what I got! Meals for 4 for the week, food for 2 dogs and 1 cat…and snacks & lunches for the week. Sure beats the $130 plus I had been spending at the last part of 2009 which just proves that a little bit of time planning pays off!

Yesterday evening I received an email asking to do a survey. If I qualified, I would earn $5 Extra Care Bucks. Well, it was easier than ever to qualify & even easier to complete the survey!
