I had to stop by CVS today to use some coupons for their Gold Emblem candy & crackers that were expiring and I picked up an 8ct package of Zantac for free using the $5.00 coupon from the Zantac website. At both CVS & Wags it was marked $4.99.  Walgreens computers beeped at this coupon when the cashier tried to use it as did it at CVS but the cashier at CVS put it through manually and said nothing.  I guess it is a YMMV situation.

I finally decided to venture out to Walgreens and see how many RR’s I could earn while purchasing things I would normally use.  Not bad for my first time out and I even got a few things we would use but I would never pay the prices for!  Here is how my trip turned out:

3 Ragu Pasta Sauces – $5.00 minus .90 cents in coupons ($1.37 each)
4 Hellmann’s Mayonnaise  - $10.00 minus $2.00 in coupons ($2.00 each)
1 Bertolli Dinner kits – $5.99 minus $1.00 coupon ($4.99)

Total: $20.99 minus coupons = $17.09 Earned $8.00 RR – like paying $9.09!

The Hellmann’s Mayo is $4.59 at my Kroger so I got 4 for less than the price of 2 and it’s the ONLY Mayo my hubby will eat.  The Ragu cost me about what my normal store brand would and it is so much better!  As for the Bertolli, I have never purchased it before but I will let ya know later how my family liked it.

4 Quaker Chewy Granola Bars – $10.00 minus $2.00 in coupons ($2.00 each)

Total: $10.00 minus coupons = $8.00 Earned $5.00 RR – like paying .75 each!

Other items I picked up were:

Gillette Power Fusion Razor $8.99 minus $4.00 coupon – Earned $6.00 in RR so this was like them paying me $1.01 to TAKE their razor!

Vaseline Sheer Infusion lotion – $6.99 minus $1.50 printable coupon – Earned $7.00 in RR so again, they paid me to TAKE their lotion…$1.51.

Chapstick Fresh Effects – $2.99 – Earned $3.00 in RR

I got the Super Poligrip for free also.  Figure maybe this will be donated or thrown in to a goodie bag giveaway.  Oh, and my daughter grabbed a bottle of Rubbing Alcohol…$1.50 for that.

So my grand total before coupons was $53.75 minus $13.69 in MFG Coupons plus $1.11 tax – $41.17
When I figure in the RR’s I earned (can’t wait to start rolling them!!) it was like paying $12.17!!
